I am a web designer and developer who specializes in creating front-end interfaces for web applications (like blogs). I have experience with a wide variety of frameworks and programming languages, giving me the ability to create and/or customize pretty much anything you can think of. Inter-City Contractors
Inter-City Contractors is a general contractor based in Kenmore, Washington. ICC's needs were fairly basic – they wanted easy access to their Builder's Exchange listing, a few photos of past and current projects, and contact information.
Hollow Earth Radio
Hollow Earth Radio is the Pacific Northwest's freeform online radio station. They needed to develop a dynamic, full-featured site in order to provide archived playlists, show information, and a way for Djs to log in and add content to the site. As part of an independent study in web application development, I helped turn Photoshop designs into layouts for a new Ruby on Rails-based web site. The Portable Infinite
The Portable Infinite is an online music and arts magazine. It currently uses the Blogger blogging platform, and they needed a re-designed XML template that would better showcase the band photography aspect of the site. I designed and coded the template, and the banner layout was made by Angel Ceballos (who is their principal photographer).
Bellevue Police Foundation
The Bellevue Police Foundation raises funds to support the men and women of the Bellevue Police Department. This site was built on the Joomla CMS, and includes customized php modules to facilitate secure online donations. I worked collaboratively with Det. Michael Chiu of the BPD and Dr. Brian Bansenauer at Cascadia Community College in all stages of the development process. I also helped to transition a fellow student into the position when my internship was over.
Dandelion Gold
Dandelion Gold is a 'DIY record label' and musical collective based in Bothell and Seattle. This site showcases new content and releases with strong visuals and direct links to buy downloads, or even download free releases. It is built on the Wordpress CMS. The php-built download store section of DG is a customized version of an open-source project. The store uses Amazon S3 to manage files, so that customers can download files as often as they want within a 72-hour period, and receive a link to their files instantly via email.
